In working with Reakt, our task was to create a demonstrable product configurator concept using a sports shoe as the example. We took an existing 3D model of a sports shoe, optimized it to show a blank "canvas" and separated out the individual parts that a user would be able to configure with different color schemes and graphics. This approach to a product configurator can be used in a real-time environment or through a series of rendered images that showcase different colors and angles depending on user input.
